I was born in Portsmouth, Ohio. When I was growing up we moved several times. I graduated from Alliance High School in 1961 and from Cedarville University in 1965 with a B.S. degree in science. I worked in a hospital lab, then as a chemist for Sunshine Biscuit Co., and retired in 2002 as a lab tech at Lab Corp. In 1996 I started a vending business, which I still continue to operate.
I started in magic when I was about 13. My first public show was in a high school variety show in 1958, being the second magician in the history of the show. I am interested in both stage and close up magic, especially silk magic. In addition to magic, I also play the violin in the orchestra at church.
